Important Update on ACP

Digital Durham is working to inform our community of changes to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

At this time, Congress has not re-appropriated funding for the ACP. This means that funding is projected to run out in April 2024.

Important things to know:

• February 7th was the last day to enroll in ACP
• Residents who are enrolled will receive the benefit until the funding runs out, which is expected in April 2024. 

ACP Recipients should:

• Contact their internet service provider before April to learn how the dissolution of ACP will affect their internet bill. Recipients must be proactive or risk a significant financial impact.
• Read all notices from their internet provider to stay informed about changes.

• Encourage Congress to extend ACP funding; it’s not too late!
